Who are the founders of Circletex?

Who are the founders of Circletex?

Creamoda, Febelsafe and FBT, together with several leading companies, established Circletex. Circletex is a voluntary system which, in preparation for the forthcoming legislation, provides an answer to the valorisation of collected textiles with the ultimate aim of promoting circularity.

We are starting with flat linen, work clothing and protective products containing textiles, collectively referred to as professional textiles. Later this year, we will be looking at consumer textiles, more on that later.

Who are our pioneers:

  • Alsico
  • Cleanlease
  • Creamoda (Federation of the Belgian clothing and garment sector)
  • Dumoulin
  • Dutra
  • FBT (Federation of Belgian textile care)
  • Febelsafe (Belgian federation of manufacturers, distributors, service providers and professional end users regarding safety and welfare)
  • Sarco
  • Sioen
  • Texet

With the support of Circular Flanders (OVAM) and partners Denuo and Fedustria.

  •     Other ready-made products: handbags, leather products, car seat covers, mattress covers, pet products, livestock articles, made-to-measure products ...

The MISSION of Creamoda is to promote Belgian member companies, to support them in the growth of their activities, to guide them in a world where raw materials are becoming scarcer and the transition to a circular economy is vital in order to be able to offer sustainable, high-quality products.

Our members are an essential link in a very complex international value chain by processing recycled textiles into new finished or ready-made products, making high-quality products with a longer lifespan, helping to secure local production capacities for critical products.

At Creamoda, we are convinced that circular economy is a must and not a temporary fashion trend.
